Chocolate chip cookies is wonderful dessert eaten with evening tea or after meals when you are craving for some dessert..
- 3/4 cup refined flour
- 1 egg white
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips
- 5 teaspoons sugar
- 1/2 cup coarsely crushed walnut halves
- 60 grams low fat butter
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 1/2 teaspoon soda bicarbonate
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Preheat an oven to 180 C and grease a baking tray.
Cream the butter in a bowl. Add the egg white and vanilla essence and continue to cream till light and fluffy.
Sift together the flour, soda bicarbonate and salt and fold into the butter mixture and mix well.
Reserve a few chocolate chips and mix the rest with the sugar and walnut into the cookies dough. Divide the dough into twelve equal portions and shape each one into a round cookie.
Place the cookies a little apart on the greased baking tray.
Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on top and bake for twenty to twenty-five minutes.
Remove from the oven and transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool. Store in an airtight container.
